Colors (Chinese Chip Colors)
Vermillion, Indigo, Red, Burnt Sienna, Lemon Yellow, Dark Red, and
Sky Blue all come as little chips in boxes. They produce the best
colors on rice paper. They are most economical because they last a long
time.
Chip Color
Instructions:
Pour the entire package into a dish. Let chips gather on one side. Fine
spray them with water and when they dry, the will glue onto the dish.
To produce colors, simply re-wet the chips.
The Chinese Yellow comes in chunks. It is by far the best color
to with with Indigo to produce all greens.
Yellow Instructions:
Put the Yellow
chunks in a small container with lid. Soak the pieces with 2 tablespoons
of water for a few hours. Eventually, it becomes soft like clay. Pour
the liquid into another dish. Prepare another dish of green by adding
Indigo into the Yellow.
Poster White
Pelikan White Tube
Pelikan White is a treasure that produces the smoothest while and
works wonders with all other watercolors. Other whites do not work nearly
as well.
Dr. Martin's Bleed Proof White
Dr. Martin's Bleed Proof White is used for accenting the brightness
of white and for center dots in flowers. It's richness is incomparable.
